Jurassic School
In February 2022 we started our project about dinosaurs. At that time the children expressed their great interest about these prehistoric animals. Unfortunately at the following weeks, there were many interruptions at our program, due to covid-19. Many students were absent and it was difficult to keep a common program and activities.

What do we know about dinosaurs…

The motivating question was “What do you want to learn about dinosaurs?”

The students wanted to learn about…:

· How did they go extinct?

· How big where their bones?

· Why do they have long neck?

· Where do they sleep?

· Where did they live?

· How did Earth look like in the prehistoric age?

· What did they eat?

· Who is carnivore?

· Who is herbivore?

· Who have wings?

· Who have fins?

· Who discovered them?

· How did they find their fossils?

· What was the effect of volcanoes?

· What was the effect of meteorites?

…But they knew already something about dinosaurs…

· They leg eggs

· They were extinct due to volcanoes and meteorites, (but they didn’t know exactly how).

· The humans didn’t live at the same time.

· They knew many different kinds of dinosaurs and their names.

· There were herbivore and carnivore dinosaurs

· One student knew the difference between dinosaurs and dragons (…who exist in fairy-tales, as he mentioned)

Many of the students have had dinosaur toys and books. They brought them in the classroom and they exchanged their knowledge with their classmates.
