Opinion. I feel bad that the Wamponoags got sick. Prediction. I predict that when the English people came the Patuxet came with them. Connection. I also know how they must feel because being sick for 6 days feels dreadful !

I think the sickness that sounds terrible. I wonder what they mean by the villages were wiped out. Does it mean their villages didn't have a lot of people after the disease? If that is true that disease must of been dreadful for them. I wonder if that terrible disease is still around. If it is still around I wonder if it is still as bad as it was back then. Do people still suffer from the disease, and I am very curious about what is going to happen to the people because of the awful disease.

When they were talking about a weapon that can shoot down a bird from a great distance I thought that the weapon is the musket because on the Plimoth Plantation website it said that the english captain trained the people to use muskets. When it says that the coat-men don't know how to hunt I bet one of the Wamponags hearts sparked and that person with that heart is the only person that will take pity on the coat-men. I also wonder if that town with the sickness still has that sickness lingering around so that probably also added to the problems like starvation. Also I think that the sickness affects older, younger, and pregnant people the most because usually those are who are mostly affected for most sicknesses I also think that the sickness is the black plaque because in England the black plaque was a disease that spread really easily and wiped out lots of cities just like the letter said. Third of all I wonder if they found a cure for the disease and if so what was it?If they didn't did it just fade away? Also I wonder why the english people need too wear those big long coats.I think it is probably because it's too cold. Also at the bottom in a weird font it says that the character is fictional so is the whole letter fictional? If so why would we be reading this letter? Fifth of all I wonder what the picture with the women and the baby is all about because they're just standing there in some kind of shelter that really just looks like a bunch of sticks.

I wonder who the men in coats are.Maybe,they are pilgrims.I think that because it said that they had weapons that can shoot birds out of the sky from far away.Those weapons are probably guns.Another reason I think they are pilgrims is : it said they wore long coats and I once read that men in that time wore long coats.I would not blame the native americans for fearing the 'men in coats'. I wonder if the pilgrims would use those guns on the native americans.

I feel awfully terrible for the Wampanog because of the great sickness and they don't know who the men in coats are. It's like climbing up a steep mountain and not knowing what is at the top. I can not believe they kidnapped the Wampanog. I also can't believe that they just came in with muskets and shot them. At least I think they shot them. The fact that the Wampanog have never seen a musket before IT"S INSANE. Maybe the British will be nice but so far they look mean. If I was King Massouiswat I would be freaking out, I think that kings have to be brave, smart and, chill in bad situations. I know I can never be a king. and I still can't believe they can shoot a bird from so far. My biggest question of all is why,why do the British come in and just shoot,kidnap and steal the Wampanogs food? IT IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is really rude that strangers took the two Wampanoag men and made them be slaves.I think the men in the cloth should have not stole the wampanoag's corn.This sickness is so bad

I think the men in coats must have caused the sickness because that must be the weapons that killed the bird . If there is a bird that got shot there could be more and it is really bad for your health and will cause a certain sickness.If the bird doesn't get eaten'it might rot and that will cause a sickness. The men in coats must have better weapons if it would shoot a bird from very far away.

I wonder why the Wampanoag go to the valley doring the summer, and stay in the forest doring the winter? From what I've read, I think it might be fun to be a Wampanoag.

I wonder how the Wampanoag people got the sickness and how it got to the people.I also would like to know what sickness got to the Wampanoag people.Also what cure will the Wampanoag people use?I fell awful for the people who got the sickness,oh and what are coatmen?

They should give the coat-men a chance.I understand that they are scared because the coat-men took Tisquantum away and forced him to work.I would be scared to walk up to someone who kidnapped my family or friend but still everyone deserves a chance.Even people who have different ways of living, people who have deadly weapons that can shoot a bird from many miles and may be planning to it you with this weapon should be given a chance.I hope at least one wampanog takes pity on the coat-men.I hope at least one wampanog gos up to the coat-men and teaches them the skills you need to live in the wild: hunting, fishing, and more. I wonder who the coat-men are?Did the wampanog ever get a good look at the coat-men faces?Were the coat-men the cause of the sickness? If they were then I am really mad at them but I can't be sure that it was the coat-men that were the cause of the sickness.

I think the people in the cloth should have left some of the corn behind because they didn't work for it. Unless they really needed it for reasons like not knowing how to grow food or not being able afford getting it. Maybe if they knew about the disease that wiped out villages they would have left a little corn because of how bad the disease was.

When the wamponog people got patuxet I think it was interesting because that sickness is from the U.K. So now I think that they also took their food. Why would the English men kidnap and slave people from the Patuxet tribe? In the letter it said that the men were half the number they once were,so they must have captured the Wamponoag for more people to have in there tribe.

I feel bad for the Wampanog because they are getting a terrible sickness that they can't get rid of. They don't have any medicine that can help them get rid of it like we can now. I wonder how they could get rid or it or if they could. Even though people don't get the sickness now I hope that nobody ever gets a sickness as bad as patuxet in a long, long ,long time.

Dear Ms brintnall at the beginning it talks about pilgrims having something that can take a bird from its flight. I think that is a gun. In the next sentence or so it says the Indians are moving to the valley which probably means its spring.
