In my point of view, as Peruvians, we must take strong actions to protect our culture and environment in order to show our responsibility toward our country. All the actions we take define our nation’s identity. For example, people must notthrow trash into rivers or sacred places like Machu Picchu, since this behavior damages both nature and heritage. Peruvians should teach younger generations about traditional dances and languages so that they continue to live on. Authorities must have enforced stricter laws against illegal mining, which has already destroyed many forests. For this reason, we need to be responsible when we decide, by voting, who will be our next authorities, always keeping in mind how destructive or protective they can be. Schools must include environmental education in their programs so that children grow up with awareness. In this way, Peruvians not only preserve their culture but also ensure a healthier environment for future generations.
