In my professional perspective as an educator and a graduate student in M.A. Administrative and Leadership it is my understanding that the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) which is now the Every Student Succeed Act (ESSA) has failed at making sure that every student will receive an fair and equal education. We are targeting congress to put in place a new law that will address the concerns of all educators so that they may be effective in their profession.

I learned that our governing agency will create living documents that will provide life to a concern educational society. Even in its origin the implemented laws and policies are effective but soon die because government accountability end after the last period has been type. I learned that a vision is only as strong as the system that we have place. Our Federal and State Government must be proactive in staying progressive and flowing with the everlasting evolving society that educators educate in.

Yes, I believe that the policy is proving to be effective but it is still room for improvement. Districts are making strives to ensure that students need are being met but in my professional opinion we are still missing some of our struggling student. From administration to the community we are still not closing the gap fast enough. Overall, we are making progress but congress and local districts needs to still refine some of the policies that are in place to ensure that it is continuance push for academic success for all students. (Klein, 2020) "The purpose is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps." With this in mind I also believe that the high school drop-out rate will decrease and the graduation rate will increase. ((ESSA) 2022)
