My site was happy to hear that I have mental health and substance abuse experience, so I am hoping that any information I can provide to the school will be helpful.  

Overall, I would say that I am at a level 3 as far as confidence. There will be a lot for me to learn with regards to being in a school environment. I think that in order to progress to a level 5, I will just need time. Time to adjust, and become better acquainted with the school, my supervisor, and their policies and procedures.  In addition, I have worked with adults and juveniles, so working with elementary school children will be a new experience. I am also concerned about how starting my Practicum will change my and my child's current routine, after all I have been home for the last several years. Going to the school a few times a week will require a big adjustment on my behalf and my daughter's, let alone managing my schedule and homework along with my hers. In addition, I am completely at the mercy of my fiancé's work schedule, so having our regular group supervision meetings will be interesting to navigate as well.  Therefore, I promise to try and lock myself away for Wednesday's class, but would like to apologize now for her interruptions;) Finally, my physical health is always a concern. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, hypermobility type, which results in chronic joint pain and comorbid conditions that can be debilitating at times.
