         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><em>In Pairs</em></strong> complete the following task.</div><blockquote><strong><em>Task 1:<br>Precaution:</em></strong><em> stop if you feel dizzy during the exercise.</em></blockquote><div>Each student receives a normal sized straw, they are asked to breath through it for 30 seconds,&nbsp;</div><div>It may help to hold the nose for greater effect.<br>Next they are handed out a thinner straw, less oxygen has the ability to enter the lungs.<br>How do you feel while breathing through straw 1/ 2?<br>What are the differences in your breathing between straw 1/2?<br>One of the straws represents breathing with smokers lungs while the other represents breathing with chronic lung disease (as a result of smoking).<br>Which straw do you think represents breathing as a smoker and breathing with chronic lung disease.<br>Straw 1-<br>Straw 2-<br>After completing this exercise evaluate the differences between breathing normally and through the straws.&nbsp;</div><blockquote><strong><em>Task 2:<br>Complete the following after 30 secs of gentle exercise and after 30 secs of vigorous exercise</em></strong></blockquote><div>Use thetips of your first two fingers (not your thumb) to press lightly over the blood vessels on your wrist.
