I've had a thought that maybe Day didn't do that bad on his exam through how smart he seems, on page 187 It talks about how June is looking through Day's case again and she sees that Day has a score in the 600s which is the lowest she has seen. She decides to look up his name on the website about the score and sees that he got a 1500 just like her, SO my theory is that Day's report was sabotaged by someone so he couldn't live a good life.

Meitas

In June on page 224 & 225 she talks about how she was revising over Meitas body. she goes over how she couldn't really take a good look at his body. She also thinks back to when day said he only threw the knife into his shoulder but when she looked it still looked like it was in his chest, but when she took a closer look she saw that there was a blood splotch around his shoulder ( Metias). She thought it must have just been runoff but when she took a closer look there was a hole in the shirt in the spot. My theory is that some republic soldier or leader that was ordered or ordered him to be killed so they could get june in the investigation knowing that she was going to be the only one who could figure out where day was. And Metias dying was the set off that made her work as hard as she could to find him.

Why three lines?

Even though we are reaching the end I still have not been able to locate a reason for there being three lines on Days family's door, did I miss something? Or Is it something else?
