I saw that a lot of them never have any company and don't live near their families.

All the elderly were incredibly happy and enjoying themselves thoroughly. We also managed to teach them how to make a cloth teddy bear and the elderly that I taught seems to like the teddy bear a lot and it is something that may remind him of his family

They get to do hands-on activities which they may not do in a long time and our class gave them the opportunity for them to know that they are smart in learning! We also had Karaoke so they could sing all they wanted to express their feelings. We wouldn't know, it might be the happiest day for them

We had to speak in Mandarin, and it was quite tough as we might not be that fluent in the language, so we had to google translate

I would do another type of hands-on activity for them to challenge themselves and teach them a harder dance. I would also perform for them if given the chance

I love the part where I teach the elderly the tik tok dance as the first few times, he didn't really get it and didn't really know how to do it. But after rounds and rounds of coaching him, he not just learnt the dance well, but he also remembered it! I feel so fulfilled. When we were planning the dance, we had to think of a dance that is simple, and we were afraid that they might not know how to do the dance. But fortunately, the elderly managed to learn the dance :)

I learnt that if we don't give up, we will walk to the success point. As at first, the elderly look quite blur and he doesn't know the dance, but I didn't want to give up teaching him, so I still tried my best and teach him. And in the end, he learnt it! This tells me that my hard work paid off and that if I don't give up, I will always success.

Everything was going smoothly as everyone was doing what they're told to do so.

The activities that my class planned benefit because the elderly were really enjoying it and smiling the whole entire session.

The main challenge is to provide many opportunities for socialization

If i could have a chance to embark on another VIA project, i would do a different activities such as, add some brain games, playing an instruments or have few minutes talk with them.

I enjoy making the teddy bear napkin with them the most. They were so cute because they made a whole collection with different colour of napkin and play with it while listening to other elderlies karaoke.

I learnt that they need the love and care from us because there no one to listen to their problems.
