1) Parents Skeptical

Research which champions project based learning (see link below)

2) Evidence shows project based learning does not work

Evidence of POD based learning success -Shirebrook Academy (Mansfield) Pods (OFSTED ranked -failing now - outstanding)

3)Discipline (For a school like JC discipline is not a primary issue) in an inner city school in the UK this approach may not work - JC has repeated examples of project based success.

WE PROPOSE A TRULY FORWARD THINKING LEARNING ESTABLISHMENT, IN WHICH ALL CHANGES TO CURRENT TEACHING AND LEARNING ARE FIRMLY ROOTED IN CURRENT RESEARCH OF BEST PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE. STUDENTS ARE AT THE CENTRE OF THEIR OWN LEARNING EXPERIENCES WITH PARENTS AND TEACHERS SUPPORTING THEM. THE FLEXIBLILITY OF THE NEWLY COLABORATIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT DRIVES ACADEMIC RESULTS EVEN HIGHER AND EMPOWERS STUDENTS WITH THE SKILLS THEY NEED FOR THE WORLD OF WORK IN THE 21ST CENTRURY. STUDENTS LEAVE JC AS ABLE AND ADAPTABLE POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES OR ENTREPRENEURS
