I realized that in fables, there’s usually two characters in the fable. A character who’s usually hardworking and never gives up and a character who is lazy and barely does anything. One example is in the ant and the grasshopper which the ant works hard in the summer so that in the winter, he will have a great time. However, the grasshopper never does work during the summer and always playing around but during the winter he will have a ver bad winter as he didn’t prepare for it.

The story starts with “Once…”. There was a poor woodcutter that was walking thro the woods and he found a magic pot. When he took the pot home to his wife they figured out that the pot was magic and could double things. But then the wood cuter accidentally knocked his wife into the pot and doubled her. Then he accidentally doubles him self and so then they make two houses for the two couples to live in.

Then she out smarted them by saying all the things she needed and they got those things she needed but eventually she said she needed an oven and then they rage quit and let her go.

The story begins with a girl named Running Flower and she lives in a village and i think this was ancient time because of their outfit and the suddenly almost everyone in the village became severely sick including her mom and dad, so this made her think that she had to do something about it so she went into the forest and walked night and day to go to the other village to ask for the medicine, when she got the medicine on her way back home she was so tried and cold because it’s winter time, she was so tired that she couldn’t run anymore that she fell down, then the villagers heard her cried and took her cold body back to the village and she sadly died with a medicine in her hand and her father’s feather from his headband.
One thing i noticed about this story is that the story is a legend and another thing is that the story constantly says “… made her smile” but when she died and everyone in the village saw her soul running through the forest it ended with “that made them smile” .

So basically in 1902 the president Theodore Roosevelt (who the people called teddy) Really liked to explore forests and hunt bears and deers and stuff and one day when He had to go to Pennsylvania to take care of some work, he decided to go out in the forest with his horse and go bear hunting with his men when they found a baby bear that they were going to kill but then teddy decided to save it and let it go and when he went back to D.C this story blew up and a cartoonist decided to draw what happened and that cartoon went in the newspaper which had also blown up and then this old couple who owned a candy shop saw it and they wanted to make a toy related to it and so they made the first stuffed animal bear because of the presidents kindness and soon more kids wanted the teddy bears so then the couple needed a name for the stuffed bears and so they thought to call the bears “Teddy’s bear” but they needed the presidents permission to use his name so they wrote him a letter and sent him a Bear for himself and they mailed it to him.

Then the two waited and waited for a reply and finally weeks later Theodore replied and he said that they could use his name and that he was excited to show his kids the bear. And that is the legend that I read about how the iconic teddy bears were created.

In the story called Hercules, his other mom got jealous of Hercules, so she sent 2 snakes to kill him, but he killed the 2 snakes instead. Hercules became a hero at a teenager. But his other mother was still jealous of him so she made Hercules mad and that lead to Hercules killing people and his wife left him. When he realized what he had done he felt so bad, and so he went to the king of Greece AKA his brother. He went to be forgiven so the king gave him 12 impossible challenges. He completed all of them and was forgiven. He found a new wife and a 3 headed dog gave his wife a love potion but it was actually poison. Hercules's wife gave him the poison and he died. The End🐣

In the book, “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” the main character which is the boy is a trickster. One day he gets bored and so he wants to trick the people who live in the village so he yells ‘wolf. In the book, there is a fairy town where the fairies go into other peoples houses at night, take their cake and eat them. Every time they take the cake from a baker woman’s house at the edge of the forest, it is always eaten to the last bite. However, the king did not try her cake, so this angered the king. He thundered “I need to have a taste of the baker woman's cake!”
So, he ordered the fairies to go and get the cake for him. The next day, the fairies planned to steal the cake, but the baker woman was going to bake a cake for the princess. So, she said goodbye to her family and told them that she will be back at the evening So, after she baked the cake, she returned home to see her family. However, she got tired so she thought ‘I think I will rest here.’ Little did she know, she stepped on a trap made by the fairies. The baker woman fell down into the fairy town. “You must bake a cake for me!” The king bellowed. However, the baker woman thought that the fairies would trap her in the fairy town and force her to make a cake everyday, so she thought of a plan. The baker woman did not have her ingredients so she asked the fairy king to get them. She asked for her ingredients, her dog, her baby and an oven. Then, she said that if the fairies ask nicely, then the baker woman will gladly make a cake for them. The king agreed and the baker woman promised to give them the cake they asked for. After she finished, she was going to give the cake to the fairies, but her husband said to the baker woman “Where are you going?”
And she responded that she will give her cake to the fairies to the fairies, as promised. So, as promised, she gave the cake to the fairies and went back home to the baker woman’s family.
