I rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars because Guts is another story of Riana's life. It starts out with her having to throw-up, then she is scared of vomiting, even the word scares her! She has to go to a therapist so she can get "cured". She got cured and she teaches her class about what she learned from therapy. Her friend invites her to a party. At the party she tells her friends that she goes to therapy and she learns that they do, or their siblings, or their mom or dad! But since the shelter is full, Nikki and Brandon secretly take Holly and her pups home. With the help of her friends, each person takes Holly and her pups home until Sunday, when the shelter can take some more animals in. But a problem occurs when Nikki's mom won't let her  take the pups home,but Nikki doesn't want to let Brandon down, so she secretly takes care of them with her little sister Brianna. But disaster breaks out! Will Nikki and the dogs survive the rest of the week, read to find out.
