I've made an poster about water level rising

How did I make it?

I made it using photoshop

-I firstly got an picture of big ben and then added an image of a sea wave, I cut the sky out of the ocean image and used an overlay layer effect on the wave image to make it look pretty normal on the big ben image.

-I combined both of the images and turned down the saturation making it monotone and added a slight blur to image, this will be used for the half tone effect.

-Then I went into filter gallery and pick the half tone effect and reticulation to get that grainy effect.

-I made an gradient of cyan to blue, and put a layer effect to add it to the big ben image.

-Lastly I added the text, colour picking from the gradient for the text colours and added a dark back shadow behind the text.

What do I like about it?

I like how simple it looks with the bold text with the blue gradient and I feel like the grainy texture over the picture makes it look a lot more interesting.

What could've I done better?

Made sure the text is the same size, the top two text are different sizes.

How did I make it?

I made this using illustrator and photoshop

• I firstly made an design of chopsticks between a can, this was made using illustrator. I made an rounded edged rectangle then added anchor points around it to be able to manipulate it and give it a crushed can effect.

• Then I imported this into photoshop and used monochromatic colour scheme from the can for the background colour, I went back into illustrator and used the blend tool from background colour to a dark colour for a gradient.

• I added the text at the top and copied the design and added a second stroke around it and selected the stroke only and erased the select part on the text to make it separated from the main design.

• Lastly I added an fold paper texture to make it look worn out and old.

What do I like about it?

I really like the worn out effect over the whole design giving it that retro old effect and I also like the font I used since it looks very unique and different from most fonts

What could've I done better?

I could've added more detail to the can.

What will I do next?

I've made an torn up advert about forest fires

How did I make it?

• I made this using photoshop, I firstly used the brush tool and painted the corners of the canvas and imported an image of the forest fires, and used a clipping mask onto the paint.

• Then secondly I used my own photos of the beach and imported behind the paint

• Next I used the polygon lasso tool around the edges of the paint to get this teared ripped paper design and coloured it white, and added a drop shadow.

• Then I added the text, I had these on different layers with different font designs, with one of them in the clipping mask, I made sure these were around the same size and in the right position.

• I decreased the hue from both of the photos and added a grain effect onto it, Then I used blue and orange (the orange one being in the clipping mask) and used the layer effect pin hard light to make them more colourful.

• Lastly I used two different paper textures on different with one being behind the paint. I used the multiply layer effect to get the texture onto bright colours such as white.

What do I like about it?

I really like it actually looks like a torn up advert and the use of different fonts makes it looked two different adverts. Also the tag line of "don't ignore it" could be used for positive and negative things, like it being on a beach picture makes the viewer feel like they need to book a holiday near a beach while it being on a image of forest fires raises awareness of climate change.

What could've I done better?

I used a ripped paper texture to make the effect more realistic.

I've made an neon poster about our time on earth is running out due to climate change

How did I make it?

I made this using illustrator and photoshop.

• I firstly created the main design of the earth using illustrator using the pen tool

• then I created a star pattern by editing an rotated square for a simple star design and I did this using the pattern tool in illustrator

• I imported all of these into photoshops, all on separate layers and duplicated the main earth design and added an gaussian blur to get that glowing effect with the layer style of pin light to make it glow more

• I added the text of "time is running out" with the text being black and the outline inside of it being white. I used the colour select and used it on the black part of the text to erase it to make an neon effect.

• I did the same neon effect with the text with the blur and the layer type of pin light to make it glow.

• Lastly I added an brick texture and decreased the hue and make it darker to get the black brick texture and decreased the opacity of the stars.

What do I like about it?

I really do like that it does look like an neon sign with the glowing and the dark background to make it pop more.

What could've I done better?

A tiny nitpick of my design to add another fire bit with it being smaller and orange to make it more bomb-like.

I've made a series of posters about plastic pollution for my final pieces

How did I make it?

I made these using photoshop and illustrator, I did the same for every poster.

• I firstly imported my own photos and decreased the hue and changed curves of the hues.

• I added an filter of reticulation to add noise and to make it more old fashion. Then I added an green to dark green gradient with a the layer effect of overlay. I added an paper texture over it with an overlay layer effect to get a crumbled paper effect

• In illustrator I added photos of the main subjects and used image trace to get an drawn graphic effect.

• I imported these into photoshop and did a sharp cutout of the main subject using the polygon select tool and then added an another bigger selection under the main subject filled with white.

• I added an drop shadow to subject and the white subject, and did a clipping mask of another paper texture to these to make an cut out piece of paper.

• Lastly I added the text "HANDLE WITH CARE" underneath the cut outs to still make the cut out the main subjects and added text at the bottom of the left poster with "BIN YOUR WASTE. DON'T POLLUTE OUR EARTH"

What do I like about it?

I like how it looks like an actual paper cut out and how it does look like an series of posters due to consistent colour scheme and text layout.

What could've I done better?

Tried to use my own photos for the main subjects instead

of getting ones from the web. Since I will not be allowed to do this in future without permission.
