Countries Assigned: List of x (number of classroom participants) countries representing different continents.

Class Assignment: Each preschool class will represent one of these countries.

Classroom Preparation:

• Decorations (flags, colors)

    • Olympic Ring Tshirts with Country Flag

    • Country Flag Necklaces

    • Country Flag Bracelets

• Simple cultural facts or crafts

Torch Preparation: Description of the DIY Olympic torch (paper towel roll, tissue paper).

Opening Parade:

• Classes march in with flags or signs

• Play short music or anthem from each country

Torch Lighting: Have the youngest, oldest, or youngest and oldest from each class pass the torch to start the games

Mini Sprint Races: Short-distance races

Shotput Toss: Tossing soft balls for distance

Soccer : Kicking soft soccer balls into goals

Long Jump: Jumping from a line into a soft landing area

Pentathalon Course: Simple course with hurdles and tunnels

Basketball: Shooting soft balls into basketball(?) hoop

Balance Beam: Walking across a low balance beam

Discus: Frisbee toss for distance

Javelin Toss: Throwing soft foam javelins (pool noodles)

Hurdles: Jumping over pull noodles secured in the grass

Equestrian: "Riding" horse threw cone obstacle courses
