Then, have students look at the transcript and analyze how she organized this speech.  What VOCABULARY did she use as strong word choice?  They are READING and WRITING and LISTENING AND SPEAKING by talking to one another.  This ONE activity has ALL the literacy elements to it. </title>

         <title>What about MOTIVATION?  Is it important?  How can you work to motivate students?  This is one tool I used.  I made sure to kidwatch and really notice what students were contributing.  I would write them letters at night and place this on their desks in the morning.  Keep track of who receives one to try and reach all 160 of them!</title>
