Who am I?

Little information about myself is that my full name is Zachary Dwayne Ramos Balon. I was born in November 11, 2006 (11/11/06) so my obvious lucky number is 11. My favorite hobbies are volleyball, animating, and drawing. I used to play video-games sort of ALMOST professionally but it was cut short because of the heavy responsibilities I had as both an athlete and as a student.

Drawing experience

I don't particularly remember when it was I started drawing but I definitely remembered one artwork I did way back when I was 5-7 years old. It was a drawing of a parrot and I remembered showing my grandfather it and he was completely baffled about it because he didn't expect me to take art as a hobby. My art skills evolved throughout my animation journey because it forced me to consecutively draw consistent drawings going through a specific action. Until now, it still is probably one thing that I subconsciously just do whenever I get bored or I have a pen and paper in my vision and I am very grateful for getting to do art from an early age because it absolutely helps me pass artwork assignments throughout my entire high-school.

Animating experience

I started animating SPECIFICALLY in the fall of 2017. It was all because I discovered a site that allows you to make and publish your animations in one platform so anything everyone's publishing can be found through different sections in the website. The motivation to animate was way back before 2017 because of my interest in fighting animes but I didn't really bother trying it until one day I started animating 3d Minecraft humanoids 😭. I then realized that there's no one stopping me from learning something like animating and I don't gain any cons from the learning experience.

I don't mind staying at home or going out. I don't mind having minimal amount of friends. Considering I grew up seeing the same faces for 7 years, I could say I have plenty of friends. I actually went to Ateneo De Davao University when I was in Kindergarten 1-2 but had to move because it was too far away from our house. Spent most of my years in the same school ever since. Made A LOOOOOOT of friends that I will forever keep in my heart. Although it wasn't all rainbows stars and glitters but they still had a massive impact in my life.

ADDU Experience

So far, my experience in ADDU has been phenomenal. I met new friends, new personalities, new people to idolize, and many more. Basically after all the years from just always seeing the same faces in the same place I go to everyday, it was DEFINITELY refreshing. Got in the varsity team until know I still don't know how and along the way I met some of the most precious people. Having to attend all these occasions and being busy almost everyday of the week is so challenging but will be worth it in the end.

Volleyball experience

Everyone's inspiration for volleyball was from watching Haikyuu, and I'm a victim of it. I was OBSESSED with Haikyuu that it took me only a day to finish a single season. It was when I was 7th grade that people started to bring volleyballs too because of Haikyuu so I had to show off some moves but at that time I didn't really focus on volleyball that much because I was playing another sport. Then quarantine rolled by and I had nothing else to do so I rewatched Haikyuu and then the spark to become good at it again came back to the point where I would do invisible spikes in the living room thinking I was in a volleyball match. It got to the point where I would do it almost EVERYDAY for the entire pandemic. When the vaccines were out, people can go outside and I was BEGGING my friends to play volleyball and then from that point on I started going to summer camps by myself and wanted to hone it so I would become a Varsity player for ADDU and now, here I am, in the position where I dreamed to be in.

This is my first ever book that I read when it was the summer of 2023 because of the things I wanted to pursue and also the way I wanted to live my life after going through an unspoken event. It helped me go through something that pushed me to do better.

This is the book that I wanted to read when I was going to an event so it would help me sustain my competitiveness but I didn't get to read it. This is one of the books that I want to finish after reading Ego is the enemy. This book contains a lot of tips and advice on how to be competitive and how to succeed in doing things that you want to pursue. Although, Relentless and Ego is the enemy are both contradicting eachother so I plan to get the humbleness from Ego is the enemy but the burning passion to be good at something from Relentless.

The only artist that I fully rely on with my emotions. Clears my head from all the negativity and makes me appreciate life more. His songs actually helped me go through a breakup and made me realize that the right one will come and there's nothing to worry about but my academics and the dreams I want to pursue.

The reason why I like to consume these types of content/media because I want to become the best version of myself. Life is short and I don't wanna waste a second of it. These types of media push me and give me advice on how to approach a certain task and without it, I wouldn't know where to begin. I wanna make an outline of my future and fulfilling it and then I would be die happy.

Life is EXTREMELY short.

Although the types of media I consume are a double-edged sword, I still wouldn't let the negativity influence or disrupt what I want in life. I am young so I don't have my life together yet but I plan to fulfill it. The media I consume guides me on how to become a good person. Most importantly, we must have balance and contrast. We shouldn't believe EVERYTHING we see online, seek viability of the information and then decide whether you'll believe it or not.
