As cosmetologists, and future hair stylists we need to know everything about hair to give our client the best possible outcome. There are many different types of hair, and different conditions we need to know in order for the salon to stay clean and for the client to have a healthy scalp and healthy hair. If we didn't understand it we could leave the client with a horrible experience damaging our reputation.
