 There was an event held in Curtin university to celebrate different cultures and bring international students together. This event was held to bring people together and learn about different cultures. The event comprised of many parts which included each group member and showed their talents. Stephanie was in charge of the main event ‘Colour the map’. “I thought of the globe for this activities but because it did not include everybody I discussed it with my group members and came up with the map,” she said. People coloured the place there were from in different colours and left messages in different languages in the ocean part of the map. To help people start conversations during this event they were given special missions to be completed before they leave. 

It was the perfect activity to get everyone together and it definitely created an opportunity for them to talk. Han designed the logo and the T-shirts. “I referred to the meanings of the colours when designing my t-shirt and chose black colour to make it stand out,” she said. 

Later there was a show held by Diana which combined the dances of the group members to create an interactive show. It introduced the audience to various dances and she also got them dancing towards the ending. “I asked my group members for their countries’s dances and researched them and chose the most well - known and exciting ones,” she said.

The posters were created by Christina which help get the word around and people wouldn’t have come if not for these posters. “I  chose different colours to make them stand out and I used flags to emphasise on our theme of different communities coming together,” she said. Without their efforts the event wouldn’t have been a success. Everyone enjoyed and hopefully they learnt something and made new friends.
