<title>The new man, Mr. Homer T. Thatch, begins describing to Mr. Thomspon how Helton is really just an escaped lunatic, who killed his own brother over the money to buy a new harmonica. The new man&#39;s story continues, describing how many years he&#39;s spent attempting to catch the unstable Helton. Yet Mr. Thomspon further argues his views, as he has seen Mr. Helton completely transform their farm from a barely-surviving barn to a prosperous dairy farm with extra money to spare, through years of hard work on Mr. Helton&#39;s part. Mr. Thompson sees Mr. Helton as a good man that only deserves the best, as that is how he treated the farm. Yet this new man has other ideas...</title>

Yet no one, including Mr. Thompson himself, his wife, or his kids, really view Mr. Thompson as being completely innocent. Although the court ruled him as innocent, Mr. Thomspon senses that the juries and judge, while agreeing with him in formality, don&#39;t believe him and instead despise him in reality.
