Over my lifetime I've been HS friends with AFS students, a returnee from Finland, a HS AFS Club sponsor, met my husband at an AFS returnee retreat, started an AFS Chapter, hosted 7 students, and as a volunteer been privileged to get to know hundreds of wonderful people from around the world. Their creativity and passion inspire me. This thank you poster the students from 2006 gave me reminds me how much AFS means to me.

AFS USA has given me the opportunity to find love in every small thing I do. What's there on our plates that we can't love??? Everything and everyone is so full of love and warmth. Especially my host family and my best friend and her family. We make the perfect exchange group, doing every fun stuff together. I'm so in love with all these people that I even asked my best friend to be my Galentine's 💖 ✨, kinda cheesy but it was so fun. Especially the smile on her face after I did that was priceless.
