Here are some "KEY WORDS" we help students to find! One thing to remember about the key word strategy is that it isn't 100% reliable. These are not the only key words students will see, sometimes key words have a "gray area". This strategy just helps them to see a word and identify if it is helpful in solving the question. Words can work differently depending on the question being asked. Notice how some words like "total" and "each" are in 2 different operation boxes. Students will still need to evaluate the problem after they have found key words.
