It was old and worn.
I returned it to the land, where it belongs.

On Tuesday a piece of wood 
worth some money.
Soon it could be a chair, a bed, or even a coffin.

On Wednesday a plastic bag.
I looked around, feeling cold, thinking of sea creatures and animals.

On Thursday I found old fishing nets
but my feet got wet,
and I started coughing.

On Friday I held a cup of coffee,
Sand fell from it like an hourglass.

On Saturday a mask,
wet and spoiled,
A trace from the pandemic, a reality uncoiled.

On Sunday, I stayed quiet and still,
Thinking of the sea king's will,
Wondering what he might do,
And if he could make my dreams come true.
