Our last week of half term was all about love, appreciation and friendship.

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, the children reflected on who is important to them and what makes their friends and family special. Each child had a turn to hear the kind things their classmates think about them. They also enjoyed writing love notes to one another on our writing wall!

PE day for Reception Class is on Mondays 

To bring our Great Fire of London topic to a spectacular finish, Year 1 and Year 2 became real Tudor architects! They carefully designed and built their very own Tudor houses and the classroom was buzzing with creativity and excitement throughout the DT project.

The grand finale was the most thrilling part of all—watching the houses go up in flames, just like in 1666! There were gasps, cheers and wide eyes as the children saw history come to life right before them. What a fiery and unforgettable way to end our learning adventure!

PE days for Year 1 & Year 2 are on Mondays and Wednesdays 

Over the past term, Year 3 and 4 have been applying all the knowledge they have learned about the Amazon Rainforest to create their own art sculptures.

Throughout this project, the children have explored and practised a range of joining techniques, carefully selecting and using these methods to strengthen and stabilise their designs.

We are very proud of their creativity, teamwork and perseverance, and we look forward to sharing their finished sculptures with you.

PE days for Year 3 & Year 4 are Tuesdays & Thursdays 

This week in assembly we marked Safer Internet Day, joining children around the world in thinking about how to stay safe online.

This year’s theme was “Staying safe when you use AI.”

We talked about what AI can do, and also what it can’t do — it can’t feel emotions, understand feelings, or use imagination. The children learned the importance of being kind online, checking information carefully, and remembering that AI can sometimes make mistakes or show unexpected content.

Most importantly, we reminded them to speak to a trusted adult if they ever feel unsure, worried, or upset when using AI.

This week, Year 5 and 6  have been hard at work writing their non‑chronological reports about the Northern Lights. 

They have explored the science behind this breathtaking phenomenon, described the colours and movement with wonderful imagery, and organised their ideas with real maturity. The children’s writing this week has been brilliant. They’ve shown real creativity, confidence, and care in the way they express their ideas - please ask your children  to show you their work as it will be sent on seesaw with a copy of their writing checklist!
