Throughout this degree, we have had sessions for Professional Inquiry to go through Te Reo Māori phrases. That's where I have learnt my phrases. I also did two overnight stays on the Marae at the Manukau Institution of Technology campus where I have gained knowledge of the Māori customs and language. I am aware of how effective it is to implement the language in to my teaching practice as Te Whāriki ensures that in New Zealand, we provide a bilingual education for our tamariki.
In Te Ao Maori, with the two Maori language teaching resources, I made resources about bugs through a book and a game which influenced the Maori language in to the programme.
