Charlie says that people do not really talk to him that much anymore and they dont kid around with him the way they used to. In Charlies entry he states," I guess it'll take a little time for them to get used to the changes in me. Everybody seems to be frightened of me." He then says," When I went over to Amos Borg and tapped him on the shoulder, he jumped up in the air." Charlie feels lonely at his job. Everyone is acting as if Charlie has changed for the worse. He is starting to develop feelings for Miss Kinian and is noticing her features. He says in his entry," I think from the beginning I had the feeling that she was an unreachable genius--- and very, very old. Now, everytime i see her she grows younger and more lovely." This shows that he is noticing more about others and taking in more than he did before. He is coming along fast and is learning more each and every day. At the end of his entry he states," I knew that this was only the beginning. I knew what she meant about levels because I'd seen some of them already. The thought of leaving her behind made me sad. I'm in love with Miss Kinnian." He isn't using words wrong, he isn't spelling many words wrong anymore. He is progessing in his spelling, language and writing. He is learning more about about I.Q. and about what he has to do and everything. That is good and he is learning fast which is good too. In one of his first reports he says," He was very nice and talked slow like Miss Kinnian does and he explaned it to me that it was a raw shok." Then from his recent report he states," Dr. Nemur says I have to take a Rorshach Test tomorrow. I wonder what that is." This is showing that he has learned how to spell 'Rorshach"  but he still doesn't remember what it is. He should not have had to hear the argument between them and they should not be arguing about it, period. All Charlie wanted to do was clear it with them that him and Miss Kinnian could go out for dinner. He should not have had to witness everything he did or has. It may affect his development and everything that has been worked through so far. It was good that they allowed him to go but by the time he left he was trembling and that is not good nor right of them for doing that in front of him. He took another Rorshach test today and he has learned to use his imagination and creativity. He pointed out what he saw in the ink blots and what he learned. In his report he states," Unless-- I don't know any more -- could I have been that feeble-minded?" He also states," I imagined all sorts of things. I guess I got carried away. But I didn't trust him anymore....." After learning what the Rorshach test really was he feels as if the person giving him the test was lying to him. He is realizing more and more everyday. He has quit his job after eight hundred and forty people signed a petition for him to be fired. No one would talk to him about it, even though they should have, only Fanny talked to him. In his report he states," They've driven me out of the factory. Now I'm more alone than ever before....." This shows us that lonliness is not good for him and that it can be bad for the experiment. Charlie has been progressing but now this may set him back a little bit. He depends on friendship, once he is lonely he gets down and brings himself down. He is learning not to trust someone or something for who they seem like or how they act. He is getting smarter and more knowledge is getting to him. He is discovering feelings and emotions. Charlie is coming along very well. Charlie has to be careful of how he speaks and writes to make sure it is clear and simple so that others won't laugh at him. He tries to communicate with her but cannot seem to figure out how. He has determined that he is unable to communicate. Charlie says in his report," I am alone in my apartment at Mrs. Flynn's boardinghouse most of the time and seldom speak to anyone." This is not good, he needs to get out there and continue to talk to others about anything. He needs to learn to communicate once again and let everything out and express himself more than he is now. He flips out on everyone to leave the boy alone and quit messing with him. He felt ashamed of himself and the boy.
