Level 1 and level 2 assignment work has been shared with tutors through google docs which has given tutors time to look through learner work and give constructive feedback before the learner submits the final piece of work.
By using this tool we have noticed that English and Maths are embedded more and learners have been using grammarly to improve written work.
Work experience on level 2 was a lot more successful this year as the dates set were given out at the start of the course.
Attendance has improved due to stronger monitoring and target setting.
Progression for Level 1 to level 2 has gone well to date also progression for level 2 to level 3 ; even if progressing onto a part time course; we are still keeping the learners.
Achievement across the board has improved due to motivated staff and teaching and learning.. Staff adapt lessons to suit learner needs and differentiate teaching strategies which enables more stretch and challenge activities.

learners attending the Academy for summative assessments did not go well due to there being a lack of clients and lack of communication skills in learners. Learners need to be taught confident ways of communication other than texting. Learners need to build confidence so that they can work on reception and handle clients. We could introduce this into theory sessions by using role play and video recording it so that the learners can watch their scenarios back and see where they can improve their communication skills.
