Hello everybody! I’m Nagihan. I’m an English teacher at Bornova Zehra Hocahanım Primary School in İzmir. I’ve been teaching English for 15 years. This is my second year at etwinning. I love working with young learners. I am glad to be here ;)

AIMS AND RESULTS

In our project, we aimed to make students speak English in daily life and to raise students who are not afraid to speak English.We aimed to raise students who love to speak English and are willing to speak English.At the same time, we aimed to gain our students various universal values ​​and to use web 2.0 tools.We prepared various learning environments for our students to achieve our goals.We created various learning activities.Our students took part individually in all learning activities.We included our parents in this process.We made our activities especially on pandemic days with the help of our parents.During our project, we conducted teacher student and parent surveys to evaluate our work.At the beginning of the project,we observed that negative attitude towards speaking English disappeared at the end of the project.Our students are very happy to participate in the project.Our students are not afraid to speak English anymore.They  want to speak English in daily life.Besides all these, they learned universal values ​​and expressed them by speaking English.Our students and parents who had no idea about web 2.0 tools had an idea about those.Our parents and students used web 2.0 tools and liked them.We are very happy to achieve our goals.We  listed the analysis of the surveys conducted throughout our project below.

First Teacher Survey Analysis 

In line with the data I obtained from the survey results, 10-20 years of experience, in which our project partners have been attending from different regions of our country, especially in the Black Sea, Mediterranean and Aegean regions, and that they have a dense teacher population and work in district and provincial centered public schools. It has been determined that. It is determined that our partners have 75% English branch and 82% female teachers. It has been determined that they have classes of 25-40 students. 40% of our teachers can be seen as a result of the questionnaire. The general opinion of these teachers about teaching English is; It is clear that traditional or classical methods are not sufficient and they believe that process-based eTwinning studies and Web 2.0 tools will be very useful for more effective English teaching.

Second Teacher Survey Analysis 

Most of the teachers in this Project are new to eTwinning platform but we can see that they are content with the Project.The most obvious reason fort his is the concordance between the Project partners.As the Project activities are parallel to the curriculum,it became easy to adapt the Project to the school lessons.Most of the teachers weren’t familiar with the Web 2.0 tools but they oriented themselves to process.According to the answers the components outside the Project like parents and colleagues Show their support to the teachers.We can say for sure that with this Project eTwinning gained new and permanent eTwinners.

Third Teacher Survey Analysis 

The last teacher questionnaire of our project consists of 6 questions. 28 teachers answered the questionnaire. 100% of the teachers answered yes to the first 4 questions. 5. In the question, the project activities are 92.9% suitable for the student age group 78%, they are related to the course topics 85%, collaboration among partners 92%, collaborative studies 78%, learning web 2.0 tools 92%, communication between partners 92%, online meetings 67% It was evaluated as 6. In the question, 85.71% of the teachers evaluated the project founders out of 5, 14.28% of the teachers found the project founders out of 4. Accordingly, it is seen that the teachers are highly satisfied with the project founders.

First Student Survey Analysis 

According to the results of first student survey, most of our students are in the fourth grade. 78% of our students like listening to English music. Almost all of the students find English lesson is enjoyable.Over  50% of our students haven't heard e-Twinning Projects and Web 2.0 tools before.  80% of our students use English words in their daily life and internet for English lessons.Almost all of our students think English lessons will be useful in their next learning life.

Second Student Survey Analysis 

According to results of student second survey, almost all of our students, who are mostly in fourth grade, state that they learn new things from the project, they like Web 2.0 tools which they used and they find project activities enjoyable. 52% of our students say ' No '  to the question 'Do you read English books?' 

Third Student Survey Analysis 

In line with the data I obtained from the survey results, it has been determined that our project students have been participating from different primary schools in different cities  of our country.%99,3 of students  think that the subject of the Project is enjoyable.%72,of students stated that they used web 2.0 tools during the Project while, %27 of students didn’t use web 2.0 tools.%97 of students state that they are happy with being in this Project.%97,6 of students think that this Project is contributed to the development of their English.%91,3 of students state that they want to join an e-twinning Project again. 
In conclusion, It is clear that a large proportion of students find the subject of the Project is enjoyable.They are happy with being in this Project.The students think that these kinds of e-twinning projects will contribute to improving their English, so they want to join an e- twinning project again. . 

First Parent Survey Analysis

97% of our parents who participated in our survey stated that their children are primary school students. While 74% thought that the lessons at school were not enough, 59% stated that their children could not learn English at school. 96% of our parents, who think that their English lessons at school are not enough and their level of English learning is not sufficient during this period, supports their children to take part in a project where they can practice English. Our survey results show that our project is born out of a need and that our project content, which will enable us to learn, learn and practice our students, which cannot be realized during the foreign language lesson hours, will contribute to the language learning of our students.

Second Parent Survey Analysis 

86% of the parents who participated in our survey stated that they had information about the activities we carried out during our project. While 88% of our parents stated that our project contributed to their children's English skills, 90% of their children increased their interest in English, 89% stated that their children had an increase in the number of English words they knew, while 86% stated that they contributed to the project's child. Our survey data shows that our project has been progressing from primary school for the purpose of our students to speak English, to reinforce what they have learned, and to have an opportunity to practice.

Third Parent Survey Analysis

The project aims to learn English teaching permanently as a communication language to be supported in out-of-school settings.It was aimed to eliminate students' motivation deficiencies towards foreign language by differentiating their existing English curricula using out-of-school environments.As a result of the parent survey, it has been found that it has a 96% positive effect on the child's development and school success.However, the survey revealed that parents are aware of the web 2 tools used in 47 .7%.In the group in which the survey was conducted, the project had positive effects on the students.It has been revealed that the activities and web 2 tools used are effective in increasing the motivation of the students.Morever, it was concluded that the project increased the school-family cooperation in order to attract the students  to the lesson and motivate them to learn foreign languages.

Finally, considering that the projects made, the families increase the interaction skills of the children, 96% of them want to take part in the next projects.
