Just a few things to know:

Class rules: Be safe, be respectful and be responsible!

Behavior: We have a behavior management pocket chart. As a class, we created a list of rules for behavior. Everyone begins each day with a green “You’re doing great” card, a yellow card means “ Warning! Pay more attention to your behavior!”, and a red card means “You have a consequence” (for example: losing minutes from recess or I will be contacting you by phone)

Folder: This folder will be used as a mode of communication and way to help organize and manage all the papers that come to and from school.

Homework: A reading log comes home every Monday and is due every week on the following Monday. I encourage you to read at home every day with your student.They can read to you or you can read to them. They can also read to self or with a sibling or a different adult! Once the reading is completed, please put it in your child's folder to be turned in on Monday. If there is an assignment that your child did not complete during class, it will be homework.

Newsletter: A newsletter will be sent home every month. In the newsletter, you can find out what we are learning in class, any important information, and things to work on at home.

Contact me: Please email or call if you have any questions! You can also leave a note for me in the folder. If you would like to meet with me, we can schedule a time to meet together. E-mail is the best way to get a hold of me but you can also leave me a voicemail during the day once it is set up.
