Winston also acknowledges that the Brotherhood doesn't have enough money to defeat the Thought Police. This reveals that the Party has a large amount of power to oppress everyone and can continue to control the people. Winston is against the Party because of its restrictions and wants it to be destroyed. He dislikes that the Party has the power to control every aspect of his life.
