Additionally, one elementary school is selected as the flagship school for an SEL themed book read-in. Dignitaries from the city and district converge to read the chosen book to students in classes. Each teacher at the school receives a copy of the book and a goodie bag as a thank you for participating.

Crafty Cafe, run by Special Ed staff and students, sells handcrafted drinks and baked goods. The business department inquired whether SEL funds can be used to purchase these items from an internal program. Could we use the SEL funds for this?
