Syria is roughly the size of the U.S. state of Florida it borders on the Mediterranean sea.Syria gained its independence from the French in September 28 1961. In recent years Syria has had Protesters demanded economic reforms and the release of political prisoners. With the protesting violence escalated to a widespread civil conflict between the government and rebels forces. The Government has been accused of bombing citizens with chemical weapons, while rebels tortured and executed rivals. The conflict has also left many areas in Syria vulnerable to Islamic extremist groups such as the Islamic State, which consolidated power in Syria in early 2014 and has carried out several massacres of civilians. A Fun fact is that Syria has one of the most oldest continuously inhabited capitals in the world. The Violence also brings the lack of clean water insufficient food and medical supplies. In my Syria the life expectancy for a male is slightly slower than that of a female but adult literacy is higher in males than females.

As seen in modern time there has been many events that has been marked as tragic or successful events. One of the type of tragic events that we are currently see is violence and terrorism that we have seen over years now.First we have to know what these things are. Terrorism is the use of violence acts towards civilians to intimidate in the pursuit of political aim. This can be found in the world but there are certain part of the world that there is higher percent of it.But there are also incidents violence that happen that stems from Terrorism

For example the 9/11 attacks are perfect examples of this. A extremist group called Taliban sent few of there people to attack building in New York City and Washington D.C. This caused terror for the people making them fear the presence of this group. This event helped recognize that we should find ways on how to control or prevent from these events from happening.

There are many factors that lead to terrorism. One is that there are two parties that have a different political beliefs or views and that cant come to a agreement so one party decides to use violence in order to get what they want. There are many ways that countries have fought this issue. Some come to a agreements with terrorists and settle the dispute with time in jail while other countries use military force against terrorists, these terrorists are extremist groups.

The current issue in Syria is the ongoing civil war that is happening right now. The Issue started when Protesters demanded economic reforms and the release of political prisoners the government later started to arresting dozens. As more people got arrested the government started to use violent security forces. This later effected into in the deaths of dozens of protesters. This would start the ongoing civil war. Many have tried to help or resolve this war for a example In an effort to stop the violence, the Arab League voted to suspend Syria and impose trade embargoes. Many other countries have joined the fight into against the terrorists that have conciliated power in recent years. This Issue can be resolved if there can be a successful peace treaty that both sides can agree on.

i choose this topic because this situation can be found throughout the world. i learned a few things in this project one of them is that how a civil war can convert into many things like a war zone for many countries. What my classmates can do for this issue is help other people be aware of this issue and help those who are effected by it. At the start of this project i was not familiar with any of the the technologies but as time when i got more familiar with it.I did not find any kind of issue throughout the project, if i were to do this project again i would of looked into more detail of the civil war.
