Ulrich sees that he has new neighbors next door which is Ulrich enemy Georg Znaeym who is Ulrich’s childhood enemy. There is a feud between both families because there a conflict going on between the two families. Ulrich and Georg don’t like each other they hate each and they would kill each other. Ulrich and Georg want to see each other dead. The text states, “The feud might, perhaps, have died down or been compromised if the personal ill-will of the two men had not stood in the way; as boys they had thirsted for one another’s blood, as men each prayed that misfortune might fall on the other.” This shows that both men Ulrich and Georg really hate each other they would feed each other’s  blood which was rigorous. Both men Ulrich and Georg thought of egregious thoughts about them killing each other. his heart and murder uppermost in his mind. The chance had come to give full play to the passions of a lifetime. But
a man who has been brought up under the code of a restraining civilization cannot easily nerve himself to shoot down
his neighbor in cold blood and without word spoken, except for an offence against his hearth and honor." After the recap, Ulrich and Georg thought they were being saved and thought wrong, it was a pack of wolves coming closer. Both men were thinking on what to do next since they see no help at all. "Damn, what now?" says Ulrich. 
"Yell again, we can't do much in this situation", says Georg. Both yelled on top of their lungs and hear footsteps in the other directions. "Who is it now?" both talked in their mind. It's both of their men coming towards, both sides were about to fight until they heard the men's voices. The men scare off the wolfs and the two men injured are rescued. That's the beginning of Ulrich and Georg's friendship.

Suddenly, shots rang out through the forest, the sounds of a hunting rifle rang through the shrill air of night, scaring away all the wolves, and Ulrich blacked out. When he came to there were around 9 people surrounding him, unfamiliar faces, and standing amongst them was Georg. "What- who? Where am I?" asked Ulrich cautiously. "Free", replied Georg, "you blacked out for quite some time Ulrich. "We can't die like this" Georg cries out.
"Let's calm down," says Ulrich, "Let's just accept it Georg."
Georg is in disbelief. To him, everything was going great, he saw figures running towards them thinking it was one of their men to come save them. He's also just became friends with Ulrich. Everything started going downhill for them.
"At least we get to die as friends..." said Georg with tears streaming down his face.
"Yes, at least we are friends now." Ulrich replied.
They both close their eyes under the dark gloomy night, as they take deep breaths and accept fate. 
They scream in agony...
Sounds of the hungry wolves feasting.
Then... 
Silence...

Georg wanted to be sure he was hearing right. He said "Did you say wolves?" "Yes wolves," Ulrich said fearfully. The growl of the wolves had been reaching closer, as both men were really worried about the outcome of the situation they put themselves into. "I know you said they are wolves but maybe it is something else growling." Ulrich denied what Georg had to say because in his mind he knew that the sound was to accurate to be something else, so he said "Georg trust me they are wolves, the sounds do not sound like anything else as dangerous." They had to find a way to get out of both situations they were in, one being the wolves that were near them and the other being that they were stuck under a tree from the storm's destruction. Ulrich also said "We should try and protect each other at most because our men do not seem like they will come, even if we know we won't make it since we are stuck under this tree." "I just wish we stopped this feud while we can, but let's trying our best to work together and kick this tree since the pain is slowly vanishing," Georg stated. The men had both worked together to push the tree of them quickly before the wolves could attack. It took a lot of effort, but they did it, covered in blood. Ulrich muttered "Luckily we finally got out of those branches, now we should run before it's too late." Georg said "Ulrich, turn around and watch out!" Ulrich turned to suddenly see the wolves were very close. Georg cried out loud "Run!" Both men started to pick up their pace and tried to run as fast as possible, but they still had injuries. Meanwhile, the men of Ulrich and the men of Georg stumbled upon each other, and even if they were enemies, they all realized that their leaders were missing. Thus, they cooperated together just this once to find their missing leaders. Back in the forest, both Ulrich and Georg were able to hide for a little moment after finally reaching away from the wolves, but unfortunately the wolves could still sniff the victims and come closer again at any moment. "We should grab that stick over there and write our men a note, and we should die as friends Georg. I am sorry I never shared land, but if we die as friends then this long feud can end," Ulrich had said while out of breath. Georg murmured that "Yes, let us end this very tragic situation by at least agreeing to be friends." Not too long later, the wolves found the men, Ulrich and Georg were not afraid no more as they held each other's hands to remember their attempt with teamwork, and the wolves attacked. The forest was rather quiet now, the peaceful sound of terror as the Ulrich and Georg had died. "Those sounds sound familiar to wolves so I am sure I'm accurate" says Ulrich losing hope. "We should be able to get out of here somehow!" says Georg doing his best to find a way to survive. The footsteps now approaching both of their locations at speed they can't hope to match. "Try to go as low as you can below the branch and protect yourself. We both scream for help even if it hurts!" Georg said bravely. They begin to to do their best at defending themselves from the wolves that start attempting at attacking them and start yelling for help as loud as they can. Both men of Ulrich and Georg come 15 minutes later after following the footsteps of the wolves and humans and hearing yells and growls. What they saw had frighten them and scarred them for the rest of their lives. Blood everywhere, bones and skin around the ground. What they had saw was believed to be two hands shaking each other before dying. Ulrich tried to take it out of his pants but when he did, Georg saw the knife that Ulrich took out and said in fear, “There is no way that little knife can kill Wolves”. Ulrich looked at Georg and said, “This is all we got, it’s either we use it or die”. Georg saw a whole family of Wolves coming from behind them. The wolves was face to face with them and as soon as one Wolfe tried to go for Georg, it was shot. Ulrich saw a old man with a gun going at it at the wolves. Some got away but the others were dead. The old man helped both Ulrich and georg out from under the tree branch and the guys was so relieved that they didn’t die that night. The old man took them to his cabin in the woods and gave them bandages. “Hey, thank you again for saving  us”, Ulrich said with a calm voice. “No problem my friend” says the old man. "What do we do" whispered George. "I don't know about you but I know what i'm gonna do now hush before they'll see me to". Finally as the wolves begin to approach both men Ulrich throws his flask that he drank in the direction of Georg to prevent himself from being seen and to bring attention to Georg. He then manages to use tree branches and leaves that surrounded him to bury himself beneath it with his hands so he wouldn’t be seen by the wolves. While Ulrich manages to do that Georg screams for help as the wolves begin eat to his limbs one by one and he yells in pain. After minutes of Georg yelling the wolves finally finish him off and leave the forest where Ulrich lays in peace. Soon after, Ulrich’s men come and save him after hearing all the yelling done by Georg when he was fighting for his life. When Ulrich is finally freed he sees his Georg’s skeleton being scavenged by insects near him and limps away in pain feeling accomplished as he now owns the land. It wasn't so difficult for the wolves to find them so quickly as the scent of blood from their injuries of the storm laid heavily.  The sun appears and the men of Ulrich find the area where Ulrich and Georg had been however when they got closer they found two human skeletons. along with some remains. Ulrich reaches his hand out and the two started holding hands. They both close their eyes as the wolves are getting ready to pounce on them. But before that happens the two men hear “Bang, Bang, Bang” from the left and another “Bang, Bang, Bang” from the right. It was gunfire. It was Georg’s and Ulrich’s men. They came to rescue them. The men rushed towards their leaders, but stop as they meet eyes with each other. They up their rifles and point it at each getting ready to fire, but before they could do that they hear “STOP” from both Georg and Ulrich. Both Georg and Ulrich explain to their men what had happened while they were stuck under the tree. After hearing their leaders words “We have now become friends” they put their rifles down. The men from both parties use all their strength to lift the tree so Ulrich and Georg can slide out from underneath it. Ulrich continues to laugh. They both started laughing like maniacs as they knew there was no more hope in screaming anymore because they had understood these were their last moments.
“ I am glad we were able to put our differences aside in the end where it counted.” Said Ulrich.
George replied, “Friends in the end.”
As the wolves descended, they became clearer to both men. They growled. The men saw the wolves get closer, the hunger in their eyes, the drool coming out of their jaws. The wolves were salivating anticipating their next meal. The men looked at one another fear in their eyes, as they yelled together one last time in hopes of being saved.
“Help us!” they yelled.
As the wolves inched closer sniffing the air the men heard gunshots in the air. They heard the crunching of leaves and branches as steps sounded closer. “Were saved!” Yelled Ulrich as he saw men coming into view. They kept firing shots as they got closer, effectively scaring away the wolves.
“Thank you!” exclaimed the men, not believing they were saved at the last moment by both their men. They explained to their men they were no longer enemies and shook hands. They all walked out of the forests as one group.

As the men attempt to push the tree off of each other, the wolves are gnarling in the distance. "I got it off!" Georg exclaims. As Georg isn't trapped anymore Ulrich is still under the tree. Ulrich replies nervously, " Run Georg!!, it's okay Georg don't worry about me." Georg replies, " Are you crazy, I am not leaving you here. I told you already we are in this together." As Georg tries to get Ulrich out, there is movement in the distance and it doesn't sound like wolves. Ulrich in fear asks, "Do you hear that Georg?"  Georg finally gets Ulrich out and there is silence suddenly. Then they hear a loud gunshot. " They found us Ulrich!!." Georg exclaims. Within a distance, they hear their men shouting their names. One of Georg's men asked " Sir, are you okay?, I saw them wolves in the woods so we shot them and I heard you shouting."  Georg replied, "We are okay now, thank you fellas."  As their men take them home they are all confused on why one of them aren't dead and one of Georg's men attempts to shoot Ulrich. Georg shouts, "NO!!, Put the gun down, we have found a way to resolve our conflict and it doesn't include death. We are friends now so I would like if you can be nice to Ulrich and his men." Ulrich agrees with Georg, "Yes this is true, Georg saved my life and we are finish with this petty conflict." Both men  became very close and they shared their territory together. The conflict was resolved in an advanced and polite way.

The wolves were at last approaching them.
"Good bye friend." Ulrich cried.
"Goodbye, see you in the next life time friend." Georg responded.
These were the last words they said to each other.
It's a shame that their families would never see the reconciliation of this feud.

Gerog grabed a big branch and broken it into pieces useable to stab animals. Georg gives Ulrich one of the branches , The wolves are now in front of them and three jumps in to bite. "OMG" Screamed Georg while one bites his leg but " Don't worry i got em" Screamed Ulrich. Ulrich was able to stab the 3 wolves that came at them which made the other wolfs scared and to run away . " hey lets get you patched up" said Ulrich while ripping his cloths to stop the bleeding. "I'm sorry Ulrich I was wrong about you we shouldn't have ever been this crazy to each other". Sadly Georg said. " hey its ok we always have later to fix our issues" . "Lets be friends from now on brothers till death" George said while holding Ulrich arm. "Yes brothers till death". " You can have it all, I had some before coming out here". *POP* both of them heard that gunshot but didn't know who shot but they were relieved. " Who is there?" Georg asked. "Ulrich you there" shouted the unknown person. Georg looked over but Ulrich had passed from the eye bleeding. " Boys I found him" Ulrich's men shouted. Many footsteps came next to Ulrich and of them started looking for a a branch. They all started using a branch to leaver the trunk away. " you messed him up pretty well George" Said one of the men. " No he got hurt when the branch fell lads, we never even got to touch each other" "What will make me believe you Georg where I can kill ya right now" "Just believe me by god almighty please don't". Ulrich's men smirked but shot him anyways.

“Wolves” repeated Ulrich in fear, as he screamed. “Calm down”, you have to calm down said George. I think they can sense and hear us. We must be Quiet said George. If we start to panic now they will eat us faster. As the wolves approached closer and closer, you could see them better, there was about 8 of them. We just became friends, and we can't even tell nor show anyone said Ulrich. My dear friend, i think that there is no escape for us, we are trapped, said George. I just wish we would be able to at least enjoy a cup of wine together, before we are eaten alive.  As the wolves came very close to them, George thought of something, “Ulrich” he said “my dear friend you should try to get up from these branches and escape from here i will sacrifice myself and be a sort of distraction for you to have enough time to escape". “No, said Ulrich, i will not allow you to sacrifice yourself for me, we will leave together. The wolves started growling as they spotted the two men in the woods. When suddenly Ulrich felt a very strong pain in his legs. George said “you must escape, run”. Ulrich, looked down, and saw his foot bleeding and hurt from the pulling caused because of the tree. Ulrich glanced back as he saw his dear friend being eaten alive by the wolves. He ran, and ran and ran until he suddenly sees bright ,lights flashing towards him. His men were running towards him. 2 years had passed, and Ulrich was on his way to the cemetery to visit his very dear friend, with 2 cups of wine in his hand.

He asks for Georg’s friendship after coming to terms with each other “ I will never fire a shot on your and land, and save when you invite me as a guest” Georg accepts the friendship.
