'TELL ME ABOUT KRISHNA'-This is a book written by Anurag Mehta My uncle gifted me this on my B'day. I recommend everyone must read this book. In this book there are many stories about krishna. It has 48 chapters. It describes the life of Krishna in a simple and beautiful language so that every child understand it.It is filled with colourfull pictures too. I like the story "The Demoness" the most from this book. In this book Krishna being an incarnation of Vishnu,is divine on one hand and human on the other. His growing up is an ordinary as anyone else, giving the message that no one can escape from time and destiny.

A short story is a work of fiction that is usually written in prose, often in narrative format. This format tends to be more pointed than longer work's of fiction, such as novellas ( in the 20th and 21st century sense) and nevels or books. Short story definitions based upon length differ somewhat even among professional writers, due somewhat in part to the fragmentation of the medium into genres.
Name- gautami .v.

A lion was once sleeping in the jungle when a mouse started running up and down his body just for fun. This disturbed the lion’s sleep, and he woke up quite angry. He was about to eat theh mouse when the mouse desperately requested the lion to set him free. “I promise you; I will be of great help to you someday if you save me.” The lion laughed at the mouse’s confidence and let him go. One day, a few hunters came into the forest and took the lion with them. They tied him up against a tree. The lion was struggling to get out and started to whimper. Soon, the mouse walked past and noticed the lion in trouble. Quickly, he ran and gnawed on the ropes to set the lion free. Both of them sped off into the jungle. Moral of the Story:-
A small act of kindness can go a long way.
Name :Sachit Bhat
Class:6th A
School:KV INS MANDOVI

My Impressions of the book”EAT THAT FROG” By Brian Tracy

While I was browsing through the titles of novels for reading, I came across the title “Eat that frog”-?!!! A title so weird, so intriguing… attracted my attention. I thought I would give it a try.

Believe me, as the title says, the writer Brian Tracy tells us to eat the frog if we have no option but to do so, quite funny and awkward. He further adds that, if you have to eat two frogs, then eat the ugliest!!!!

By urging us to eat the frog, the writer informs us that there are plenty of jobs to be done by us every day and there is no way of escaping from them. Then why to avoid doing them, let’s eat the frog (do the job at hand), if required, do the most important/ the toughest job.

In this book, he has enumerated 21 steps to avoid procrastination (delaying things which often lead to failure). The readers should read a single chapter at a time as each chapter is filled with ideas from experts who are successful in their career and personally I liked the idea of 6 P’S (Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance).Read and find out what’s your favourite idea to avoid procrastination and taste success.
By Mrs.M.Shanthi,PGT English,KV INS Mandovi

Grandparents are an important part of everyone's life. In our childhood they were the fun people of our family. We would desperately wait for them to visit us every year, bring us gifts (that was the part that I was most excited about) they would play with us, tell us funny stories and stuff. In short they were our best friends.
I have many beautiful memories of my grandparents. I used to sit on my grandpa's shoulders while going to school.
I also remember this one time when my grandpa accidentally dropped me to the wrong school. I was scared out of my skin.
Another time me and my grandpa got matching Hanuman mask and Gadha. When we reached home and when my brother saw us, he started screaming at the top of his lungs. That was funny to watch.
Me and my grandpa had pulled many tricks like this in the past. And I cherish those moments that I had with him.
I don't have many fun memories with my grandma .Though I do remember this- whenever me and my brother used to pull any nuisance in our house my grandma always defended us and would say "leave the kids alone! They didn't do anything ". Even though my mom perfectly knew that it was us. These were my childhood memories.
The bond is not the same now.I am not saying anything happened between us. No nothing happened. We just grew apart. Many a times I want to go back in the past and just capture those fun times with my grandparents again.
Even though me and my grandparents are not very close now, we still share a special bond with each other.
-Aishwarya Mishra
XI-A (2020-2021)
KV INS Mandovi

Now, What's space? the space is a whole wide place where secrets are held without solutions. Well, even, there are some understandings which the human world with it's intelligence has been able to find out. If we think, the space is a fascinating world with thousands of stars and planets. Well, you know, the space is dangerous for us and that's because we need fresh oxygen and the space doesn't have it, and also, there is no gravity in space and we can only fly and not walk. And, we don't know how to control us while flying. Don't worry about that. Astronauts have special trainings for that.
