Some and my hobbies are playing the drums, playing sports and video games as well. Music is something that I enjoy and find interest.

I was born in Costa Rica in 2008, however, when I just born, my family and I moved to China, and so I was raised there. I stayed in China until I was about 10 and came back to Costa Rica. My parents wanted me and my brother to go to China first in order to learn mandarin, and later come back to Costa Rica to learn English and Spanish, that was the idea.

Ingrained Biases

I was raised in a communist country, which isn't bad, however, China has cultural biases and propoganda against it. So when I move to Costa Rica, it pained me and angered me how people were looking at China, because they thought it was this dangerous communist country where you are always being watched by the goverment and you can't anything, when really, I don't remember any of these rumors when I was a kid being raised there.

Music is something that I really care about, I play multiple instruments and listen to music whenever I get the chance to. My main instrument is Drums because i've liked playing them ever since I was little, and now I am quite good at it. I a currently learning and studying Cuban songo and latin jazz in general with my teacher, I have also played and performed multiple times in and outside of school.

This is a picture of Chongqin China, the city I used to live in, and one of the Chinese cities where I was raised. I really do miss China, I miss my family that lives there, the food, from the snacks you were able to buy on the streets to the fancy hot pot restaurants, I also miss the scenary Chongqin had.

Sports has been I really important aspect of my life for a very long time. When I first came to CDS, the sport I chose was basketball, and it was the first team I was a part of, then, I've switched to multiple sports, like when I played soccer in 5th grade, or when I switched to volleyball when I was in the middle of school.
