This is a picture the Platform Ahu on Easter Island. These Moais are lined up facing the sea. On top of the Moais' heads sometimes are large rocks like hats. These may show importance to the statues. These Moais are thought to "guard" the island from the sea, possibly from bad storms. Easter Island's Moais are a mystery.

Overall I though that this was a cool article. It provides detailed information on Easter Island and has interesting facts as well. For instance, I didn't know Easter Island wasn't an archipelago, or the furthest away Island in the world. Although, the article didn't explain certain things that would've made it much easier to understand, such as what Tuff is and what "rubbing with pumice" means. Also, the article doesn't give any examples or explain why, though it says the Moais could be past chiefs, no names or further explanation is given. Aside from small details like this, I thought that this article was very good and provided lots of good information.
