Intention

Our intention is to educate the billions of people about pollution and to show people there are better options in the world. Such as not littering, or riding an electric car, etc. in our performance we have the consequences of the pollution such as air pollution or pollution in general. we want this performance to spread a message which is, there are better options. this is our message we are trying to spread. this message means to an action there is always a better options for it such as instead of littering you can pick trash up instead. So to spread this message we decided to add the consequence of littering which is it floating to a water source then a fish ate the plastic then dies.

Critiquing the performance

What Went Well

-My team and i worked a long nicely. we were able to communicate together and split the work evenly. we were able to get ideas and made the shadow puppet. In the performance we were able to set up the stage nicely and was able to get through the performance at a nice pace. i was able to show my puppets just in the picture below and we had music to set the stage.

Even Better If

-My team could highly improve on making the music loader. on the performance we had some minor issues. we did not have alot of time to prepare for the performance so we did not fully understand how the shadow machine work so we putted the sign on with the letters on the wrong way which shows it reversed instead of what we intended to show. So we should work on time management skill to instead of just rushing it on the day of the performance

How do the arts (drama, dance, and music) allow us to explore and express abstract concepts such as emotion, identity, and culture?

a way drama express emotion is through facial expression. facial expression is a crucial part of drama. It shows your emotion and it makes your performance much more lively. Facial expression is a way to express your emotion so to represent your sad you can frown, or if your happy you can smile. For music on the other hand they can express it through the tone of the music or the tempo. for dance you can express it through your movement for example how fast or slow you go or the music used in the dance performance
