Adult 1: My mom
My mom has always been the formal one out of my parents because she was a nurse in Iraq, so she's been to a lot of interviews. She told me that she had to wear a somewhat long skirt and a blazer. She also told me to be confident and to use my personality over an outfit.

Adult 2: Keith Johnston
I talked to Keith from PICS when we had to do our interviews, and he said to wear formal attire, such as a button-up, with my hair either straightened or tied in a low bun. He also said to show up with a smile, and not go all out with my outfit, and also be confident in my own skin.

Adult 1: Jean from PICS
In a preparatory zoom session for interviewing, my mentor Jean gave me tips about interviewing. She mentioned that in a virtual interview, it is very important to have a good background that usually consists of a plain wall or if you can't have that, you could add a formal virtual zoom background.

Adult 2: My dad
My dad has been to many interviews and a tip he has given me is that sometimes when given a challenging question that you don't know the answer to, you can ask for a second to think about it and then answer.

Adult 1: Kathy Caputo from PICS
Throughout PICS, Kathy was one of the many adults who gave tips when it comes to interviews. One of the biggest tips that she mentioned was at the end of the interview when the employer asks if I have any questions, we should never say no. Always ask about the company and the job itself.

Adult 2: Colleen Ricard from PICS
A big inspiration to me is my college essay coach Colleen, one of the many tips that she gave me was to try to be myself as much as possible, being too nervous will lead me to mess up the interview.

Adult 1: My Sister
My sister has been to a lot of interviews, so she has told me to wear either black formal jeans or a black skirt, with a formal shirt. She also told me to wear closed heels or even flats. She also said not to wear a lot of jewelry because it takes away from the outfit itself.

Adult 2: Mr.Millican Sophmore avid teacher
When we used to do presentations for commitment hours, Mr. Millican always told us to dress formally and he said this is good practice for when we actually have interviews, we'll know how to dress properly.
