         <description><![CDATA[<p>summary:</p><p>In 1819, Missouri applied for admission as a slave state, which would upset the balance of free and slave states in the Senate. Clay prohibited slavery in Louisiana Territory.</p><p><br/></p><p>Explanation: Both the North and South benefited because the North and South got a new state one was free and one was a slave state.</p><p><br/></p><p>Feelings: I feel like its equal because they both got what they wanted but it wasn't necessary for a war if everyone benefited.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

When Texas became a part of the USA the border had to be determined truthfully.</p><p>Explanation: Americans claimed it was farther south at Rio Grande, but Mexicans believed Americans entered Mexican soil.</p><p>Feelings: I feel as though it's understandable on Mexicann behalf because it was kind of their soil but at the same time it was a little bit of both.</p>]]></description>
