Keep daily journal with photos of how a plant is progressing through the life cycle stages, add voice over explaining when the next "phase" in the cycle begins... i.e- slide 7 shows a seedling- voice over of how the seedling changed from previous slides.

Subtraction with decomposing (regrouping)

Use the "build in" or "build out" features and allow students to demonstrate how when they subtract and need to decompose a ten into ten ones. They can animate for the base ten rod to "dissolve" and then have ten ones units "appear".
