My name is Nicholas Gendron, my main hobby has to do with hitting ball with the tip of sticks. I like to think of myself as a level table. I'm highly competitive, and see myself as well rounded. I am able to approach things from different angles and adjust my shot to handle any hiccups along the way. I think this class is a scratch shot, especially after already taking business 101. I also think the extra replies on the discussion board are the equivalent to playing a winy 10 year at my favorite game. Though it will be fun to see how the ball roles when these gender discussions arise. I also like long walks on the beach.

Module 7. This is a two chapter module based on leadership and motivation. Not everyone has what it takes to be a leader, and not every manager is a leader. None the less, an organization must have a strong figure head. Someone who drives and pushes their team to thrive and succeed. Some one is strong when the rest want to be weak. A true leader will always put the team on their back and carry them when needed.

I pride myself as a leading manager. I lead by example. I am constant and consistent. My team always knows what to expect from me, and I generally know what to expect from them. I set daily production goals with rewards such as leaving earlier than normal but receiving a full day’s pay. I also keep my staff informed of any future changes to help them mentally prepare them. Motivation doesn’t always have to be pom poms and cheerleading, but it is important to keep the troop riled up and charging to our goals. An unmotivated staff is an unproductive one.

Module 8. This a two chapter module about Controlling, information, technology, production, control.

Determining needs and collecting data is important in every situation. The quality of a decision is directly correlated with the quality of information received. When I am studying for tests it is always helps to know what is on that test or have a study guide in order to focus efforts on those sections. With that knowledge I can formulate a plan and control my performance.

Quality control is a huge issue in all industries. From the quality of raw materials, to finish products, to human resources. Quality control works from the ground up. Starting with the best materials usually grants you a better project. Quality of management reflects in many areas of production. Personally, I do not like working in a negative atmosphere. I am not a hard person to work for, but I do hold firmly to protocol and process. Having a steady work pace with a light mood eases the interaction between employees. Well greased gears operate more efficiently than those fighting against each other. I believe that creates a more productive atmosphere.
