Trump spent most of his campaign straying away from mentioning a criminal justice reform, despite it being a rather widespread topic. Instead, it was spurred into the term “law and order” which Trumps used as a promotion for his campaign - despite the fact that most of his statements were factually unsupported. 

In general, Trump wants to enhance the punishment of crime (according to his campaign statements). He has proposed death penalty for killing a police officer and to reduce mandatory minimum sentencing for non-violent crimes.

He also wants to give police officers more power/freedom. For example, he would like to reduce the tracking of the officers’ work, because “it isn’t a priority”. Therefore, there’s a chance that a lot of collaboration between the police and society will come to an end.

Furthermore, the author finds it likely that a lot of President Obama’s progress will recede. Besides the police and community relationship, he thinks that the collaboration between The White House and Black Lives Matter will go away, remove the efforts of addressing mass incarceration in America.

However, we find it very unlikely that any of these things will happen.
