Clemson was founded in 1889 through a bequest from Thomas Green Clemson, settled in South Carolina. A longtime advocate for an agricultural college in the Upstate, Clemson left his home and fortune to the state of South Carolina to create the institution that bears his name. Some traditions are singing the alma mater, students and alumni still wave their hands in the air with thumbs folded underneath as though holding a cap.

My motivations for going to this college is mainly due to the soccer program being a D1 sport and also having a unique business program also where its located.
