The visual interpretation of the image provided does not gratify the ideological manifestation of "separate but equal". Within deciphering the political cartoon the junction of equality is not permitted under the circumstance of separation. While the analytic determination of division is exemplified, the contextualization of the illustration deems the conceptualized demonstration of white versus black. The deceptive implementation of "equality" is rather void than embraced in the cognition of the Jim Crow period.

After analyzing the cartoon listed, it can be determined that the image certainly depicts the ideology of "separate but equal". By depicting the image of two train cars that are separated in terms of quality but equal since they are both part of the train sequence, the cartoon gives proof of the separate but equal concept and the disparity within that concept.

This picture does not depict separate but equal because the laws were based on making sure the The white people were privileged while the Blacks were not getting any treatment and nothing was equal. They said and argued that this was better then slavery yet the blacks were still shackled.

´Separate but equal´ depicts the image. The Jim Crow car is small and has black people in. The bus looks broken and the world believes that ´it fits colored people´. The car behind looks like its being escorted and proves how there is white priviledge and racism is still alive.

Kayla Seide -This image does not depict the standard of being separate but equal. The image shows different cars that separate people by race. So yeah it aligns with the idea of being separate. But it is also a picture that shows different cars one is torn down and is smaller just altogether in bad condition then the other cart seems almost new. This doesn't align with the idea of equal. So yes the cars were separate but they weren't equal so they dont fully align with the statement" separate but equal".

The cartoon determines the ideology of "separate, but equal" by representing how although blacks and whites have been placed in separate carts of the car, they've both been granted the privilege of being allowed within a car, which represents a form of equality.

I believe that the cart in the picture represents inequality. The reason as to why I made this claim is because on side is fancy and seems new while the other cart is busted up. Another reason is that at the time of this book there was laws passed out called the "Jim Crow Laws". These laws separated white people from black people.

Joshua Isaac Do Now - I think it doesn't depicts the ideology of the quote " separate but equal" because it shows how the Jim Crow laws separated African American from society and in the picture it shows that the train car is cramped and compact when the white people train car is newer and probably nicer overall
