, usually it will be my finances on certain weeks and limits some days when i can or can’t attend class aswell as not being able to have someone cover my work shift if it’s during a uni day , which has sometimes also limited my availability to come in

to the best of my abilities i think i am , i’m able to also manage work on top of my studies sometimes it is slightly herder to keep on track however i try my best to keep up with the work load but it has been getting a lot more harder recently

it was interesting to visit different galleries , and made me think in a more broad perspective about certain artworks or certain galleries as well as learning new information on pieces i may have previously not had , also to be able to hear other people’s views uncertain works or how other peers in my class identify with a certain artist or piece they like is very interesting and their experience with certain artworks

i wish i knew at the start the pieces i was taking pictures of / liked had to have a common theme , not necessarily a clear one but i found it slightly hard towards the end to put my pieces i had gathered to be more coherent , and relative to one another

apart from that i’m happy with how the corse so far has been tough and it’s made me very engaged with what i’m doing

Yes usually commuting to and from Uni also sometimes it is better for me to work from home as on certain days there would be self directed study all day or continuing on previous work, it would save me money and time if we were to have a general idea on what we were doing throughout the week. Of course this comes with the issue of some students abusing this however I believe that this is their responsibility to attend.

I am able to manage the workload most of the time however when it is a project which requires a lot of time in the studio or is beneficial for me to work in the studio on off days that is when it is difficult. The reason being some students misbehave during this time which makes it difficult to work and also costs for commuting.

Being able to see others work freely whether in the studio, uni exhibitions or site galleries etc. It brings a whole new perspective of ideas which help me with my own creativity.

I would prefer if some of the projects were more related to architecture in real life scenarios rather than the more creative aspects. For example the big hat project I feel is more so suited to fashion students rather than architects I understand we are the first year doing this however this makes it even more difficult as we have no idea on how we can go about this. For the scale drawings we could see the first years examples and it would conjure our own ideas and creativity. Something more like the site models was much more fun and exciting as it introduced architectural elements as well as creativity in how we would construct the model itself.

if i am being truly honest i think my tutor tells me i am doing good even if i am not because they arent themselves very confident and she is projecting on to me
