The filmmaker decided not to let us see a full-shot of the boy because of they way the film hooked us in. At the beginning of the scene, he war portrayed as an average, bratty teenager. His behavior when he sees the dog in full form also doubles down this stereotype as whenever I get something new, either I get a bit excited or just be like "meh" and just sort of forget about it. The big difference here is that both share a disability in which they have a leg missing. The teenager realizes that the dog can still keep up that image of a dog, just that you need a bit more patience, and he quickly changed his perception of the dog because he disabled just like him. It's also coupled with the fact that whether or not he got flack and bullied for being disabled, even if he didn't, him dismissing the dog as being disabled and without a leg would seem very hypocritical to the teenager, and the full shot at the end shows the kid finding empathy with the dog and decides to just play with it.

Its important story because it shows that hate spreads easily. The boy hated the dog because it was missing a leg. Even though he was a missing leg too. Which is very hypocritical, he sees a disability as something to be hated. Which he translates probably to not just the dog but himself. When the boy accepts the dog he also accepts himself.

This an important story because it can give a message to the people who have a disability. To show that even though they have a disability they shouldn't be upset or sad about it for a while. They should just be happy for what they have and just keep living and enjoying life.

I think its important because it shows that having a disability, like a missing leg in the film's example, doesn't mean your life is over. The dog obviously knows this and while some things are difficult, he tries his best to do things by himself. This is something that the boy learns throughout the film, since at first all he wants to do is sit and play video games, but at the end learns that he is capable of playing with his dog, despite his disability.
