Most people in Vietnam look down upon people who have mental illness. This a problem because a lot of young don't get the right treatment. An examples of common mental illnesses in Vietnam would be depression, isolation and emotional abuse from their own flesh and blood. One of the causes of these mental illnesses is parental peer pressure. Parents would want their child to succeed academically as opportunities available are very low in comparison to most of the world. People who have depression usually think lowly of themselves and have high expectations. Thus, this is why majority of the public look down upon them.

High expectations from parents and teachers may lead to Vietnamese students to be under stress, leading to depression and anxiety. They undergo stress as they have to study and work even on their day off. Nearly 20 percent of the students said that the studying cause them to skip meals, exercise and relaxation time.Even primary school students are suffering from stress and suffer from psychological trauma like parental quarrels or even fears that their parents do not love them.

solution:
We can try to influence or teach them some methods to cope with their stress. We can give them more positive talks and teach them to have a better mindset.

There are limited facilities for support here, aside from hospital clinics and places like Psych Cafe, so most people will depend on their friends for help.
many patients think that you can come to a counsellor once and they will cure you.
