         <description><![CDATA[<p>Talchum was founded in ancient Korea but really sparked in the 1300s during the Joseon Dynasty. The dance was first performed to drive away bad spirits and today, it has evolved into being a satire filled dance for friendly criticism, as well as demonstrating pride in Korean culture. </p>]]></description>
