Thus, while that small minority of men are aware of the troubles women go through concerning sexual abuse, as well as the women and their female friends, there is a huge majority of men who are not aware of the prevalence of abuse among women. It also highlights the idea that men are not as heavily opposed to Kavanaugh, not because they are abusers who support a man who is like them, but rather because they are not immensely knowledgeable about such cases of sexual abuse and thus they do not really care or take that into consideration.
-Bring up a hyperbole from writer Jill Filipovic which is, "Divorce your Republican husbands." Seemingly the author is looking to emphasize the ridiculousness in suggesting that all men who are Republicans will have or intend to have a devastating impact on women similar to that of Kavanaugh.
