The approach used in Walt Disney is well suited for creative projects, because it is possible to come up with lots of new ideas and get feedback.
The approach could be used in many industries in which creativity is important. Many industries have certain constraints due to the production processes, which makes this process less suited for innovations in these specific industries.

Cons: it take a long time for the team to get use the the new structure. that they now have to stand alone and make their own decisions.
It’s hard for the team members to go back to the old organization (structure), because they spend a 100% of their time with the project.

Pros: the optimal way to think creative. They have full control over their ressources and can make their own policies, procedures and reward system because they are not underlined the original organization.
The structure creates a big commitment to the project

Q1

To avoid social loafing, which the director of systems observe. He also observes that the dicussion gets worse with more than seven people.

This might also be because the work environment at disney is rather chaotic, with very slack rules and meeting times. So getting 6 people to meet at the same time in an informal setting would be significantly easier than getting 15 people to meet.

Q2

Pros:

Creates intrinsic motivation, amongst creative people.

Autonomous teams are more innovative and generates more radical solutions. Great for platform projects.

Cons:

Autonomous teams demand a certain type of employee.

Routine tasks which require expertise and specialization might take a long time to complete for an autonomous group.

Q3

So Disneys team approach i deffinetly best suited for creative people.
