- Hannah Senesh actions made it quite evident that she is an upstander. For example, from an early age she began to show interest in literature and started her own diary. Later on, at the age of only 23, she parachuted into a concentration camp and attempted to rescue the Jews. Whilst this sadly did not happen, she still put her life on the line to save others.

- The historical context of Hannah’s situation is the fact it was taking place during WW2. There are lots of historical information of concentration camps, the capturing and torturing of the jews etc

- The germans fought against her because she was trying to help the Jewish people. Unfortunately she didn’t win that fight and ended up being executed for treason by the Hungarian Arrow Cross Party.

- Hannah used language in a variety of ways to help create change such as her diary that she started at the age of only 13. At the time she wrote in her diary, the Nazis were strengthening their hold over Germany, but to Hannah, they must have seemed very far away. By writing in her diary, she allowed historians and thousands of people to learn more about the events taking place. For example even as a young girl, Hannah knew that Nazi Germany was aggressive and dangerous. She wrote in her diary about how everyone in her community feared the possibility of a coming war. She inspired many young writers to keep doing what they're doing, even in rough times.

- In Hannah's diary, each object is almost like a poem: symbolic and far more illustrative of Senesh’s personal life. She wrote about the powerful relationship with her mother and the plans she had to help save the Jews. Her words were powerful and inspiring to all young people around the world.

- I personally don't think Hannah was aware of the fact that she was an up stander. I believe she just did what was right because she wanted to help people.

" In my life's chain of events nothing was accidental. Everything happened according to an inner need." This quote was written in her diary soon before she was planning on parachuting to save the Jews.

“ To die,so young to die.No, no, not I,I love the warm sunny skies, light, song, shining eyes,I want no war, no battle cry,No, no, not I. I could have been 23 next July I gambled on what mattered most, the dice were cast. I lost. Blessed is the match, consumed in kindling flame.“ This was one of Hannah’s most famous poems written towards the late stages of her life before she sadly passed away.

- These words are inspiring to me in my opinion because it help demonstrate the idea that everything happens for a reason. She have so much hope to thousands of people during that dark time of war.

- Overall, the thing that inspired me the most, is the fact that she was willing to put her life on the line for others who needed her. She says that nothing was accidental, and she truly believed she needed to help. I find that super brave.

- One thing I believe that we can learn using her words is that so many emotions and stories can be told from the use of simply writing. Her poems and quotes gave hope and inspiration to thousands of people around the world.
- Words do matter to future generations. The things people can say can change what people do. For example, if the president said go to war, we would be at war. By people sticking up for themselves and providing hope, they can help change so many things in our society through simply writing a poem or a book, or even a speech.
- By recording the experience that Hannah was going through, she allowed other to be determined to help too. Most people thought “ well if this girls could have the strength to persevere through this, then I do too.” By one person sharing their legacy, she allowed thousands of others to start creating one of their own.
