The means of winning elections have changed and possibly not for the better. Before the advancements of television, most elections were decided by people debating and having better arguments than the opponent. But with the addition of television and a massive advancement of the internet made elections not just debating but who could spend the most money on spreading biased ads. This was done using posters a long time ago but the internet makes it several times more prevalent and efficient.

Political - There was technology such as radio and television which had contributed to the elections and who could have become the next runner up in the presidency. One example of this was with JFK and Nixon in 1960 when they were running against each other. JFK had won the election because such technology was existent and he was mainly previewed on television and had won most of the women's votes because of his good looks. If such technology wasn't so developed during this time period, it would have been very likely for Nixon to have won the election because he was a stronger candidate in terms of speaking and he was an incumbent to being vice president.
